Dr. Ruparelia is the founder and Chairman of the Ruparelia Group, one of Uganda's largest business conglomerates with investments in financial services, real estate, education services, hospitality, agriculture and media/broadcasting. The group is a major investor, employer and taxpayer, with social investments in environmental and wildlife conservation, agricultural research, sports, healthcare, education and talent development.

Mrs. Jyostna Ruparelia is a banker, entrepreneur, female business leader, thought leader, philanthropist and mother. She wields rich hands-on corporate governance experience and knowledge. She is a director and active board member with wide governance experience in several of the Ruparelia Group companies. She is also a co-founder and Grants Director at the Ruparelia Foundation⏤ the non-profit arm of the group.
JOSHUA SAMUEL KARAMAGI
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Joshua Karamagi, CFA, is the Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Electricity Transmission Company Limited. He has over 25 years of experience in finance and business leadership. His previous roles include working at UEGCL as the CFO, Assistant Commissioner at Uganda’s Ministry of Finance & Economic Development, where he handled monetary and fiscal policy, and CFO at the National Social Security Fund.
SHEILA NAMAHE
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Sheila is currently the Managing Partner at Maxim Magara Advocates. She has a Law Degree from Makerere University in Kampala, a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre and a Masters Degree in International Trade from Shanghai University in China. In addition to her other duties, Sheila heads up Maxim Magara Advocates China Practice.

John is a dynamic, self-driven professional with a vast wealth of knowledge and expertise in different areas of insurance. Thanks to his steadfast leadership, GSI continues to perform excellently on all key levers of the business namely, revenue growth, profitability, governance and accountability as well as talent growth. He is in charge of the overall operations ensuring the team achieves the strategic direction set by the Board whilst enabling an environment of talent growth.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Makerere University and is a full member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants Uganda. Andrew serves as member of the tax and economic penal, a subcommittee under the Professional Standards Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Uganda.

ASSISTANT MANAGER - UNDERWRITING
Steven is an accomplished Underwriter with over nine years in the insurance industry. He’s worked and advised on big Energy, Logistics & Aviation projects. Steven has a Bachelor’s of Economics degree from Makerere University. He’s currently putting a firm grip on the profession as an enrolled student of the Chartered Institute of Insurance (UK).
VIVIAN Namayanja
COMPLIANCE AND RISK OFFICER
Vivian is a highly experienced legal professional with a deep understanding of insurance law, employment law, litigation, and corporate and commercial law. As an Advocate of the High Court of Uganda she brings a wealth of experience. Vivian is a valuable team player in the Claims department, adept at handling a wide range of legal issues.
LILIAN NABWIRE
ASSISTANT MANAGER - BUSINES DEVELOPMENT
Lillian has over 15 years’ experience, working with both local and multinational insurance companies. Her passion for customer experience and service delivery has seen her rise through the ranks to Assistant Manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Computing and is currently pursuing insurance professional exams.
